Mini-Tuning

Mini-tuning porque son sólo dos pequeños detallismos.

El primero es la sustitución de la antena de serie por la antena de un Peugeot 607, que es más corta pero usa la misma rosca. Al usar roscas iguales son completamente compatibles. La única traba de todo esto es que perderemos el sistema anti-robo de la antena original. Este último inconveniente lo he solucionado poniendo Fija-tornillos en ambas partes de la pieza.

NOTA 1:

• La referencia de la pieza en Peugeot es: 6561.N3, el precio a día de este post es de 5€.
  
• La recepción de la radio en mi caso ha mejorado en recepción (ahora se escucha en sitios donde antes no) pero ha perdido en calidad, pues ahora cojer bien el estero es casi una hazaña.
• Quitar la antena original no es difícil pero se requiere aplicar fuerza y decisión al sacarla. El techo parece que se va a venir con nosotros, pero si sujetamos con una mano la antena y con la otra la base de la misma no puede haber ningún problema.
  

El segundo es simplemente cambiar la palancas de los ventiladores por las del CUPRA, que son negras con una banda roja en medio. Para mi gusto, el cambio se nota y da algo más de "color" al salpicadero. Para cambiarlas solo hay que tirar con decisión de las antiguas y empujar las nuevas.

Today i have preformed two small changes to improve the looks of my ibiza.

The first one has been substituting the original antenna whith a smaller one, which I grabbed from a Peugeot 607. This change is quite straitforward because the two antennas share the same thread, so it's as easy as taking one off and putting the new one instead.
The only difficulties may araise when trying to un-screw the original, because of the anti-theft system, it will seem as if the roof is going to brake but it's nothing important, just hold frimly the base of the antenna with one hand and wiht the other get the antenna out (providing you un-screwed first).
The result is visually better than the previous, longer, antenna; as you can see in the pictures.
Now the drawbacks, the original antennas' anti-theft system will be lost, but you can fix that by adding glue to the thread, although this will mean you won't be able to get it off.

NOTE 1:

• The references for the antenna (you can buy this in Peugeot or Citroen) is: 6561.N3, and the price (in spain) was 5€, which is about £ 4,20 .

The second change is substituting the levers for the air-vents with the levers of a Ibiza CUPRA. These new ones are red and give a touch of colour to the dashboard.

• The reference for the levers in SEAT is: 6LL 819 785, and each lever (you will need 4) is 1,70€ (about £ 1,40)
