Caja de Cambios Rota

Después de 74000 kilómetros mi caja de cambios ha muerto.

Los síntomas han aparecido muy rápido y consistían en que costaba que entraran las marchas.

Ayer ya era imposible meter primera o segunda. 

La solución será un cambio de la caja por una "nueva" con un coste total de 2000€. 

Aparte de eso se cambiará el embrague para evitar futuros problemas y garantizar que todo va suave. 

La reparación de la caja no la considero porque no se como es su estado interno y no quiero "lios".

ANTECEDENTES de la Avería.

• Coche proveniente de una empresa de alquiler (Estado previo del embrague-caja desconocido, aunque no pintaba mal).
• Golpe fuerte con desplazamiento de la transmisión a los 35.000 km.
  Maltrato por parte de un GC de tráfico que insistió en mover el coche a pesar de que todo el sistema de transmisión estaba dañado (se veía a simple vista dado que estaba desplazado medio metro de su sitio original). 

Digo los antecedentes no para quitar responsabilidad a las cajas de cambios VAG (según he leído no son de lo mejor) sino para que se vea que hoy por hoy no se puede decir exactamente que ha causado la avería. 

Esta es la única avería hasta el momento.

[ACTUALIZACIÓN] Con 100.000 km la caja sigue funcionando suave y con precisión.

After 74000 km the gearbox just died. 

The problems started with the gears being difficult to shift or select. 

Yesterday selecting first or second was impossible. 

The solution is replacing de gearbox with a cost of 2000€.

Also I will change the clutch because it is damaged (a bit) and I want to prevent future problems and smothness.

I do not consider reparing the current gearbox because the inner state is unknown and I wouldn't want to get into higher costs than necessary (I will not play the lottery with this).

Before saying anything bad about the VAG gearboxes (wich don't precisely have a good press) I will mantion the background of this car:

• This unit comes from a rent fleet outlet (it had only 10,000km when bought. Although the state of the gearbox seemed perfect, I cannot know how it was treated.
• The car had a big accident when it had 35,000km. The whole engine (gearbox included) shifted half a meter. Also, in this accident a policeman insited on moving the car by its own means and accelerated it like crazy. Gearbox whined a bit; trust me it wasn't fun to watch. 

Anyways... shit happens; this is proof.

This is until now the only time its needed to go to the workshop.
